Mr. Postman: the sunken city 0623

now that I arrive at work early when riding an FX taxi, I tried riding a bus which is much cheaper, I ended up riding with ma’am Lea to work. she lives at our place also, much to my liking, I really wished I didn’t ride with her. not that I don’t like her, it’s just I don’t want to go out of my boundaries to PR for my sake. for me, it’s enough that she helped me to be employed, and going much closer is not in my plan. I plan to stay in the middle of everything. taking no sides or I might end up in one of the receiving ends. which is bad for my case. for me, it’s enough to repay her deeds with a righteous work habit.

I was assigned at the Lock Box since Kuya Nonie was taken by Chief to be his driver going to Camp Crame. Lock Box was a major Lock down for boredomness. I hated it a lot. not even a single pretty girl passed through, all of them are old shrubs that make faces when I greet them. shees.

Kuya Japsie told me that there are ghost in there so that was me only scape from boredom. to look for that ghost. but my luck wasn’t enough coz I didn’t see one, or my luck was above the radars, I’m lucky I didn’t encounter one.

after the duty, I have to go to Church. but the rain and the gust of wind is so strong that the roads where actually river like. Falcon is the name of the storm, the name implies it’s gustiness. Manila was sunken literally. I made my way to the thigh-high flood as if I’m on the beach. well technically we are near the Manila Bay.

after the worship service together with my girl, I walk my way home again coz the vehicles can’t swim. I even made a parody of the song Manila while walking just to relieve the stress of walking the dirty water much to my liking.

Hinahanap-hanap kita Manila
Ang baha mong kay kati sa paa
Mga Jeepney mong nakaparada
Mga babae mong nakapaa
Don't Take me back in your arms Manila
And promise me you will let go
Promise me you will let go

Manila, Manila
Lubog na ang Manila
di ko na makita kalsada
Manila, I'm going home

I walked the streets of Taft Avenue
I can't ride the bus or jeep
lumulutang na basura kadiri
Somehow I feel like I don't belong

Hinahanap-hanap kita Manila
Ang baha mong kay kati sa paa
Mga Jeepney mong nakaparada
Mga babae mong nakapaa
Don't Take me back in your arms Manila
And promise me you will let go
Promise me you will let go

as soon as I walked inside our house, I cleaned myself of impurities that can contaminate my blood stream or whatever that might cause leptospirosis and others. then it’s time to rest

Mr. Postman: under the table 0622

my second day at the lobby, quite an interesting place to stay, for lot’s of people wander around. my job is to give directions for the lost, and prevent unauthorized people to go upstairs. and if they have to go up, they must pass through me first.

Diwang (I’m not sure why he is called like that, I’m sure it’s not his name), is the shift commander of the morning shift, he is the one who guided me at my outpost, he thought me where is where and the not to do’s. Kuya Ding, is the one who is assigned upstairs but insist on staying at the lobby for some reasons that I learned later on. he thought me the dirty secret things that operate in the system. although it was inevitable since all government offices have some hidden stains. I really don’t care on what he says.

later in the afternoon, a tanned lady came in and ask for help about the Postal ID, the two officers urgently attend to help. She was pretty and looked naturally younger than her age so I thought that was the reason these guys can’t take their eyes off her. She even gave us some bread baked by her son who is applying for the same ID. Diwang jokingly called her son Tak Gu, from the koreanovela Baker King. and in fairness, the taste was good.

lot’s of things happen when you look closely, the illegal transactions are commonly seen here. that was the one I’m talking about.

before my shift ends, I was so tired from standing all day so I sat down in timed with someone asking directions where to bring her check for the money order. so I took her ID and gave her a pass for the 5th floor. I didn’t notice one of the people in line for the elevator was a Board Chairman coz I’m new and I didn’t know the face of all people I should salute for. Diwang was called upstairs to be scolded by my actions.he was informed that I was just sitting around and taking checks from people. that was just not right. he said it’s alright for I didn’t know who that bitch is anyway so the day ends with ma’am Lea giving me my papers and a scolding time.

Mr. Postman: my first outpost 0621

although not the first day of the week, still the first day of work/school for this week since yesterday was a holiday. I woke up early and ride an FX taxi to Lawton. I was the first to arrived again, waiting for my comrades to arrive, I ate half of my lunch for my breakfast.

when they arrived, ma’am Lea sent the two of them to their new post, Kuya Nonie is at the Lock Box while kuya Japsie is somewhere at the back of the building, not sure what that place is called. I was left inside the office as ma’am Lea’s errand boy until after lunch.

After lunch, I was sent to the lobby and it was a nice place to stay, lot’s of people passing through so it’s not boring.

after my duty, I went to my girlfriends workplace to have time with her, now that we are ok, I went back home afterwards.

the 150th birthday, birth, and the brat 0620

today is José Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda’s 150th birthday so it’s holiday. the last of my 3-day weekend. after this it’s back to work.

Rizal (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896, Bagumbayan), was a Filipino polymath, patriot and the most prominent advocate for reform in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He is regarded as the foremost Filipino patriot and is listed as one of the national heroes of the Philippines by National Heroes Committee. His execution by the Spanish in 1896, a date marked annually as Rizal Day, a Philippine national holiday, was one of the causes of the Philippine Revolution. (wikipedia.org)

Darwin came to visit me and gave me a present from the recently concluded 10th toycon. WOW a Kamen Rider Birth Figure!, finally I can work on that armor that I've been planning for the past few weeks. without a reliable design as a guide, it was really hard. now that the toy is here, finally I can start working on this. although I still have work. I’ll do it on weekends.

my girlfriend and I had an argument again, now it’s about Darwin, she was angry with him coz the time that my girl was hospitalized, he didn’t believe the text message that he received from a guy telling that my girl was ill. she’s residing at a girls dorm and a guy would actually text was a bit unbelievable for Darwin so the argument ended up when I hang up the phone.

the late start, the tardy sister, and the late awakening 0619

not really the rest that I’ve been expecting, but not the worst. after the errands here. I’m planning to go to the 2nd day of toycon. but I was hindered by the events that happen here at our house. my dad woke up late so we opened our store late. and I should go to church before I go to the cosplay event.

my sister should be the one who will help my mom at the canteen but I ended up being the one who helped. but then I went back home to take a rest before going to church.

I woke up late again, and I have to go to Bulacan just to attend the worship service but it’s alright, I have it planned out. now I have to start on my project.

the stress, the stress, and the stress 0618

this day is so stressful, lot’s of errands to do although I’m tired from work yesterday, but still I obliged to do their bidding. the bad part is, they are scolding me every time, although i;’m not sure why.like for instance, my dad called me and scolded me about the results of the dish washing but I’m not the one who washed it. they can make me do anything but at least in a not-yelling-every-time way.

before I got boiled from the scenes at our house, I decided to leave the premises and off to SM where I would rather wander and relax than stay at home and absorb all their angst or whatever.

today is the 10th toycon and I really wanted to go but unfortunately, my funds are not enough to support me and send me back home even if I try. the point of no return applies. so if I insist ongoing, I’ll walk my way home.

Mr. Postman: restrained journey 0617

I woke up in time and my journey to work was smooth. I arrived around 6:30am and I’m the first to arrived. I met Intel Officer Jack who is drinking his coffee when I walked in (he is not counted coz he slept in the office). we had some chat and for me it was awkward. I dunno I just felt it was weird.

it was 7am but still, none of my batch mates were here. I thought they went straight to Pasay. our Chief said we would meet here first before going to Pasay and because they live a bit closer to that place, they went straight on.

another minutes passed and I say Kuya Japsie walking in. he said his right feet went deep into a sink hole with lots of dirty stuff when he get off the jeepney. eww hahaha.

Kuya Nonie arrived a minute after and he is wearing his new Ray Ban from Japan. he had this large plastic bag where he carries some spaghetti and others. it was his nieces birthday yesterday that’s why he brought some party foods over.

as soon as the office was filled with the officers, Chief asked some of his men to accompany him to Camp Crame to fetch some bullets and stuff, and order the others to go somewhere to do something. again the 3 of us where left behind and sit.

after our lunch, we went to the lobby of the main building to do some rounds and start our duty. after that when we came back to the head quarters, all of those who left are here already. one of them asked me to buy some KFC Chicken burger right across the bridge so I did. and when I came back, it’s time to for us to leave.

before I went home, I checked my girlfriend in her work place and told her I’m not gonna wait for her coz I have to go back home as soon as possible to talk to Alvin’s mom.

even though I knew that going home early is not in my system, I still went on but to my dismay, the traffic jam welcomed me. it took me almost trice the time I normally travel and it’s stressful. i ‘d rather went home late coz the travel time is reduced to half. when I got home, I went straight to my bed.
